SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Simple present tense is an event that occurs continuously and usually is a habit that is carried out every day, every week, every month or every year.


How to Form the Simple Present
In the form of simple sentences, the most commonly used verb is the first or basic verb (Verb 1), except for the use of a third-person verb (which must end in -s / -es)

For Examples:
1. First-person singular : I read ( I as a subject/ the first-person singular ,and READ as a Verb )
2. Second-person singular: You read ( You as a subject/ the second-persond singular ,and Read as a verb).
3. Third-person singular: He/she/it reads (note the ‑s) (HeSheIt, as a subject/ Third-person singular, and Reads as a Verb + -S / -ES. There is a verb + s/es, because the subject is Third-person singular or He, She, It.

4. First-person plural: We read ( We as a subject/ the first-person plural, and Read as a Verb
5. Second-person plural: You read ( You as a subject/ the second-person plural, and Read  as  a verb)
6. Third-person plural: They read ( They as a subject/ the third person plural, and Read as a verb).
7. First-person plural: We read ( We  as  a subject/ the first- person plural, and  Read  as  a verb).
8. Second-person plural: You read ( You  as  a subject/ the second-person plural, and Read  as a verb
9. Third-person plural: They read ( They  as  a subject/ the third-person plural, and  Read  as  a verb).


For a few verbs, the third-person singular ends with -es instead of -s. Typically, these are verbs whose root form ends in o, ch, sh, th, ss, gh, y, x or z. 
For Examples: Go: Goes , Watch: WatchesTeach: Teaches, Catch: Catches, Wash: Washes, Brush: Brushes, Kiss:Kisses, Admix: Admixes, Modify: Modifies, Cry: Cries, Try: Tries.

HOW TO MAKE POSITIVE, NEGATIVE, INTERROGATIVE (Positive,Negative) AND PASSIVE SENTENCE (Positive,Negative and Interrogative)
we will learn the formula to make those sentence.

1. Positive Sentence : S+ Verb+ (s/es)
For Examples:
Paulina goes to London every year.
He watches comedy film every week.
My uncle plays piano every night.
My older brother cooks omelet every morning.
They clean the class every week.

2. Negative Sentence : S + does/do not + Verb1.
For Examples:
Paulina does not/ doesn't go to London every year.
He does not/ doesn't watch comedy film every week.
My uncle does not/ doesn't play piano every night.
My older brother does not/ doesn't cook omelet every morning.
They do not/ don't clean the class every week.

3. Interrogative Sentence
A. Positive Interrogative Sentence: Do/ Does + S+ Verb1.
For Examples:
Does Paulina go to London every year?
Does he watch comedy film every week?
Does my uncle play piano every night?
Does my older brother cook omelet every morning?
Do they clean the class every week?

B. Negative Interrogative Sentence: Do not/ Does not + S+ Verb1.
For Examples:
Does not/ Doesn't Paulina go to London every year?
Does not/ Doesn't he watch comedy film every week?
Does not/ Doesn't my uncle play piano every night?
Does not/ Doesn't my older brother cook omelet every morning?
Do not/ Don't they clean the class every week?

4. Passive Sentence
A. Positive Passive Sentence: Object+ tobe+ Verb3+ by Subject.
For Examples:
Comedy film is watched by him every week.
Piano is played by my uncle every night.
Omelet is cooked by my older brother every morning.
The class is cleaned by them every week.

B. Negative Passive Sentence: Object+ tobe not+ Verb3+ by Subject.
For Examples:
Comedy film is not/ isn't watched by him every week.
Piano is not/ isn't played by my uncle every night.
Omelet is not/ isn't cooked by my older brother every morning.
The class is not/ isn't cleaned by them every week.

C. Interrogative Passive Sentence: Tobe+ Object+ Verb3+ by Subject.
a. Positive
For Examples:
Is Comedy film watched by him every week?
Is piano played by my uncle every night?
Is omelet cooked by my older brother every morning?
Is the class cleaned by them every week?

b. Negative
For Examples:
Is not/ isn't Comedy film watched by him every week?
Is not/ isn't  piano played by my uncle every night?
Is not/ isn't omelet cooked by my older brother every morning?
Is not/ isn't  the class cleaned by them every week?
